Pest Solutions were this week’s lucky winners of the Go Radio Workplace of The Week competition sponsored by McGhees bakery, and picked live on air this Friday morning.
With a winner selected at random each week, Go Radio have teamed up with local bakery McGhees to bring that Friday feeling to one workplace every Friday with a box of delicious doughnuts delivered directly to their premises.
Our very own Siobhan Quinn entered Pest Solutions into the draw and weren’t we glad she did as a fabulous selection of doughnuts arrived on the doorstep of our Seaward Street office this morning.
It’s safe the say they certainly went down well with the Pest Solutions team (quite literally), and we just about had time to take a photo of the doughnuts in all their glory before the Pest Solutions team got stuck in!
A massive thankyou to McGhees for the delivery! Your doughnuts were certainly up to their usual high standards!
Gemma Sutherland Interviewed on Go Radio
As winners of this weeks competition, a representative of Pest Solutions (Service Manager and Graduate Advanced Technician Gemma Sutherland) appeared on Go Radio for a chat about our workplace with the fantastic Gina McKie.
Winner of National Pest Awards Pest Controller of The Year 2023, Gemma Sutherland is always a fantastic ambassador for Pest Solutions, and is no stranger to the limelight, having appeared on BBC Scotland in April discussing the threat of rising rat numbers in Glasgow City Centre.
A proud manager, Gemma is always first to shout the praises of here fantastic service team and the welcoming and inclusive workplace we strive to create, and was no different this time around, discussing some of the misconceptions in and around the pest control industry and how we are tackling them here at Pest Solutions.
What a typical day looks like at Pest Solutions (there is no typical day as a pest controller!!) and how Pest Solutions helps protect people and property across the UK from the threat of pests were the topic of the day during the chat turned interview, and were sure that Go Radio’s listeners learnt a lot about the world of pest control as Gemma shared her wealth of expertise.
