There are only so many Easter eggs you can fit into one office before things start getting slightly out of hand, and the Pest Solutions team has been doing their very best to go over that limit over the past few weeks!
It’s that time of year again, and we’ve been busy gathering Easter eggs to bring to Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS).
This is our fourth year donating to this incredible cause, and what started as a bright idea from Account Manager Siobhan Quinn has fast become one of Pest Solutions’ favourite traditions.
The eggs have now been delivered to Robin House Children’s Hospice in Balloch, and we couldn’t be happier to see the back of them.
Not because we weren’t enjoying the view, but because it means they’re now in the hands of the people who deserve them most.
A Tradition Worth Keeping
When Siobhan first suggested doing an Easter egg collection back in 2023, the response from the team was immediate.
Eggs of every variety and size started arriving, and the pile took over our office in ways nobody could have anticipated. So much so that getting them all through the doors of Robin House was quite the operation!
That’s just what our team is like. When they show up, they show up big time.
Now, four years later, it’s exactly the same story, and we couldn’t be more proud of them for it.
That kind of enthusiasm says a lot about the people we’re lucky enough to work with, and it says just as much about CHAS.
Because once you know their story, getting involved feels like the easiest decision in the world.
What CHAS Do Every Day
CHAS has supported children with life-shortening conditions and their families for over 30 years.
They run two hospices where their team works tirelessly to create a warm, caring, and uplifting environment for families going through unimaginably difficult times.
Each year when we drop off our Easter eggs, we are reminded why this collection matters so much to them and to us.
You are met by people who care deeply about what they do and who go above and beyond to make sure children and families can enjoy moments of joy, comfort, and togetherness.
Any little thing we can do to brighten their day feels like a thing worth doing. And that’s exactly why we are committed to supporting them for many years to come.
More Than Just Chocolate
CHAS believes that no matter how short a child’s time may be, it should be filled with joy and happiness.
They help families make memories, find moments of light, and feel supported every step of the way. From diagnosis, through the hardest days, and beyond.
It might just seem like chocolate eggs, but to these children and families, it’s a memory. And that means everything.
We were incredibly touched to receive this message from Christine Roberts, one of the reception volunteers at Robin House:
“On behalf of the families and staff at Robin House, thank you so much for your kind donation of Easter eggs. We are very touched by the time and effort you have put in to help support the work at Robin House. Thank you for thinking of us.”
And to her and the whole of CHAS, we want to thank you instead. For all the extraordinary work you achieve and the smiles you bring,
You make every donation worth it.
Get Involved with CHAS
What they do is remarkable. But it doesn’t happen by itself.
CHAS relies on the generosity of people and organisations across Scotland to keep their doors open and their care running.
That means donations, and it also means volunteers, fundraisers, and people who take the time to spread the word about the difference CHAS makes.
Our Easter Egg collection may be closed for this year, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t still plenty you can do.
Whether it’s a one-off donation, a regular gift, or giving up a few hours of your time to volunteer at a CHAS event, every bit of support goes directly towards the children and families who need it most.
Nothing is wasted and nothing goes unappreciated.
If you’d like to get involved, head to chas.org.uk/donate to make a donation, or visit chas.org.uk/get-involved to find out about volunteering and other ways to support their work.
Have a Happy Easter from Pest Solutions
Once again, a huge thank you to CHAS for everything they do, and a very special thank you to our incredible team for showing up time and time again for our egg donations. You never let us down.
Next year will be our fifth year donating Easter eggs to CHAS. If you’d like to get involved and add to the office egg mountain, watch this space. All donations are very welcome!
Pest Solutions is committed to being a company that makes a positive impact. Make sure to follow our website and social media for more updates on our fundraising efforts for CHAS and beyond.
And finally, whoever you are celebrating Easter with this year, from all of us at Pest Solutions, we wish you a very happy one.
