Pest Solutions is now a proud sponsor of the stunning Newmachar golf course in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
Newmachar Golf Club is home to two first-class 18-hole courses, including the Hawkshill Championship Course and Swailend course.
Hawkshill is a heathland course tailored for more skilled golfers, whereas the Swailend parkland course is more forgiving and can be played by a more casual golfer, but is still challenging, requiring skill and attention to detail. Both courses have been expertly designed by the world-famous architect, Dave Thomas. Both of these courses cover a large area and measure over 6,000 yards each.
The trackman diving range, which is available to members and visitors, is a 10-bay driving range with the latest ball technology to help avid golfers advance their game.
This is all to say that Pest Solutions is now a proud sponsor of this beautiful and picturesque golf club.
Golf Courses And Pest Solutions?
You may be thinking to yourself, “What are the correlations between a pest control business and a golf course?”.
Golf courses require a lot of rodent and animal maintenance, due to their sheer size, to ensure that the grass is kept clear, neat, and tidy. But also that golfers can enjoy their undisturbed golfing experience.
Grass can be affected by animals, like moles, digging under the surface and making the playing field uneven, which golfers don’t want (or do if they’re looking for a cheap excuse for a rubbish shot). Small grazing animals like rabbits cause the turf to erode, impacting the playability of the course and the overall aesthetic.
Animal droppings are unwanted by golfers and can showcase a lack of care for the grounds, causing customers to never return, as it isn’t safe or clean to play on. But this could open up a market for shoe cleaners in the local area!
This is just a small fraction of the reasons why top-quality Golf courses, like Newmachar, need a local pest controller to take care of the inconveniences that are caused by pests.
What We Do
At Pest Solutions, we are focused on impacting local communities, building trust and providing the utmost professional services to our clients. Our board is more than a sponsorship, but rather a sign to the local community of our commitment to keeping their properties safe and pest-free, our support for charities, young people and many other initiatives. However, we understand that it is easy for anyone to claim they have a heart for local communities, charities, and young people. So why not showcase our work?
Sponsoring A Youth Sports Club
Last year, Pest Solutions sponsored the Hamilton Academical U-16 squad for the Supercup NI tournament, giving young players a chance to showcase their footballing abilities against clubs around the world. These tournaments have seen the likes of Wayne Rooney and Marcus Rashford, giving hope to younger players that they can reach the highest of these players, or even surpass them.
Pest Solutions believes in supporting the next generation, whether that’s in sporting tournaments or the professional world. Our focus is on setting them up right for the rest of their life and making a lasting impact.
Charity Fundraising
Pest Solutions has an ongoing partnership with the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow. This charity offers palliative and end-of-life care for individuals with life-limiting illnesses. Pest Solutions recognises how important this is and has, for three years running, done a variety of services to support them and their crucial causes. The most notable, raising £700 doing a bucket collection in 2024 at the Christmas light switch-on.
