The Finalists for the 2022 Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards have been announced. Pest Solutions are proud to be nominated as a finalist in two categories, the “Excellence in Customer Service Award” and the “Lanarkshire’s Best Business” (11-50 employees) Award.
The awards ceremony, which will be held at the Motherwell Concert Hall on the 2nd of September, has 10 categories, with four finalists nominated for each. Organised by North and South Lanarkshire Councils, these awards are one of the longest established business awards, promoting and celebrating the success and diversity of the Lanarkshire business community. There were a record number of entries to the awards this year.
Winners of each category will be announced at the prestigious black-tie event, which attracts over 400 guests and is hosted by actor, radio and TV presenter Grant Stott. These awards are a great opportunity for Lanarkshire businesses to come together again to recognise business excellence after they were temporarily paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This recognition as finalists in these two categories of these prestigious Scottish business awards is more significant considering the worthy competition of the other finalists and the many great businesses we have in the Lanarkshire area. To be a finalist is an honour, and to be a finalist in two categories is encouraging recognition for the great work our team at Pest Solutions do every day to protect our customers’ homes & businesses from pests.

The “Lanarkshire’s Best Business” (11-50 employees) Award category sponsored by City Facilities Management is open to new and established Lanarkshire-based businesses with between 11 and 50 employees. The businesses nominated as finalists demonstrated a strong performance record and team; how their business is different from their competitors; strong relationships with customers and suppliers; and an ambition to continue improving business performance.
At Pest Solutions, our team is our strength. We are committed to building well by bringing in the right people, creating the right culture for them to thrive and supporting their growth & personal development. We are a customer service company first and a pest control company second. We have our recruiting focus based on “Attitude First” and training for skills. Finding people who want to be the best and supporting them with the right training framework. This is a simple but innovative strategy for our success. Our team has risen to the challenge of being at the forefront of professionalism within the industry. This has been transformative and allows us to attract the right talent to build upon.
Our team at Pest Solutions has grown to 39, with 18 new jobs created in the last 12 months as we have continued to grow sustainably. By hiring the best people available, almost 40% of our service team are female in an industry with an average of 4.5% female representation.
