The BPCA Member Awards 2023 Winners have been announced as part of the BPCA Digital Forum Event to celebrate World Pest Day on the 6th of June. These awards recognise positive contributions made by members to the Association and the wider pest management sector.
The team here at Pest Solutions were delighted to be winners of the 2023 BPCA Innovation Award as part of the NPCN (National Pest Control Network) partnership with Beaver Pest Control, Harvey Environmental & Bounty Pest Control.
We were also honoured to see our team or team members recognised as Highly Commended in 3 of the other categories that we were nominated finalists for.
The BPCA Member Awards help shine a light on excellence within the industry. At Pest Solutions, we are dedicated to leading the way in professionalism in the pest control industry and it is a great reward for the hard would of every member of our team to be nominated as finalists for 5 categories at the 2023 awards.

Being a 4 x finalist in 2022 was awesome. But to take it one step further and be a 5 x finalist in the 2023 BPCA Member Awards is a great honour. This is only so as we are up against other great and worthy individuals and businesses from within the professional pest control industry.

Pest Solutions were proud to be BPCA Member Awards 2023 Winners in the Innovation Award alongside our partners in the National Pest Control Network (NPCN). The NPCN has been successfully delivering services throughout the UK and consists of four active BPCA members, Beaver Pest Control, Pest Solutions, Harvey Environmental and Bounty Pest Control.
NPCN is different and innovative because we have developed our own custom system focussed on delivery of services to the highest specification with the system also able to meet the needs of our smallest customers and domestic clients. Quality of work and professionalism are at the forefront.
This fully integrated innovative partnership and software development as a group has led to business improvements in all 4 companies as we have fully adopted the system to seamlessly deliver services through out the entire UK.
This is not a gimmick to allow national subcontracting but has led to a significant advancement and the creation of a business management system superior to anything else in the market.
We are committed to delivering high-quality services, sustainability and minimising our environmental impact.

The BPCA Outstanding CPD Award is a way of recognising and acknowledging individuals you have have invested in themselves to put together an outstanding portfolio of BPCA Registered CPD activities and highlight the importance of ongoing personal development via CPD within the professional pest control industry. We are proud to see Pest Solutions Team Leader, Iain Rodgers recognised as Highly Commended for this award in 2023.
Iain Rodgers joined Pest Solutions in 2021 as Team Leader and has 26 years of experience in the professional pest control industry. He is an incredible support to our entire team and where he makes sure to help nurture his team and help them to acquire new skills & competency.
He is always there to assist with stubborn infestations and technical issues. He is loved by his teammates, who voted him “Colleagues Colleague of the Year in the 2022 Pest Solutions Awards.
Iain Rodgers is incredibly dedicated to learning and passing on his knowledge to others in the team.
At Pest Solutions we are proud of our commitment to training our people to be the best. We strongly believe the better we can help our team to be the more able they will be to deliver a great service to our customers. Well trained and knowledgeable team members is key to customer service excellence. We are even more proud to have had a finalist in this BPCA member award category every year for the last 3 years.
We feel that this sends a strong message of how much we care for our people, our customers and driving professionalism in pest management. We commend everyone in the industry who invests in themselves and their ongoing learning and companies who encourage this attitude within their team. Professionalism is the true winner here.

We are exceptionally proud to see our Service Manager, Gabrielle Hogg, being awarded Highly Commended in the 2023 BPCA Leadership Award. Congratulations to John Knight on winning this award.
The BPCA Leadership award recognises business owners, managers and supervisors that support amazing teams and fantastic pest management companies. As a industry and as a professional pest control company we would be nowhere without the great leaders within our organisations that inspire and encourage their teams forward every day.
Gabrielle Hogg joined Pest Solutions in November 2019 as a trainee after working as a manager in the customer service industry. Gabrielle’s hard work, dedication, professionalism, leadership skills and passion for customer service excellence saw her beat experienced industry candidates in being appointed Service Manager at Pest Solutions in January 2021.
She was recognised for her professionalism as the winner of the 2021 National Pest Awards “Young Pest Controller of the Year”.
As a champion of customer service excellence, Gabrielle led the way as a technician in gaining customer reviews. She has encouraged the team to have the same focus gaining over 911 5-star reviews on Google & Checkatrade in the last 2 years under her leadership.
As the first female service technician hired here at Pest Solutions she has helped to build a team that is 40-45% female (4.5% industry average) as the team grew from 7 to 46 people as the business quadrupled in size over the last 3 years.
Gabrielle’s outstanding leadership is even more exceptional as in January 2022 she became a first time mum of son Rory. Balancing life as a busy mum and being upcoming industry leader is not easy. Gabrielle will be taking some time out of the industry to focus on being a full time mum and support to her partner who works a busy role as a farmer. We are excited to see what Gabrielle will achieve in the future should it be here at Pest Solutions, in the wider pest control industry or the farming industry. Whatever she does next she will excel at we are certain.
At Pest Solutions we work closely with the team at Beaver Pest Control to service national contracts and know that Julia Pitman is an equally worthy finalist for this award for the great work she does at Beaver and in her BPCA duties.
All finalists in this category should be incredibly proud of their achievement.

We were proud to win the BPCA Commitment To Training Award in 2021 and were delighted to be nominated as finalists in 2022 and again this year in the 2023. Being nominated as finalists in this category every year for the last 3 years means alot to us. Our core strength is our people and supporting them to be their best is a passion of ours here at Pest Solutions.
Of all of the things, we would hope to be recognised for as a business, the greatest is in how we invest in our people. We are only as good as each and every Pest Solutions team member that is out on the front line looking after our customers and protecting public health every day.
Being recognised again for this award gives us great confidence that we are continuing to invest in the skills and training of our team. We strongly believe that driving professionalism in the industry by having the best-trained team will ensure that we look after our customers better. The better our people can be the more our business will thrive.
We are glad to see that there are other companies in the industry that share our commitment to training and commend the example set by the other finalists. We are more than happy to be competing with the other finalists over-investment in professionalism rather than who can be the cheapest.
