Constructionline Gold Accreditation

Constructionline Gold Accredited Pest Control Company

Pest Solutions are a Constructionline Gold Accredited Pest Control Company. Constructionline is used by over 2000 different organisations including local government and major contractors to find accredited companies before beginning the tender process.

Accreditation is designed to save companies time by reducing the administration of having to fill out multiple health and safety questionnaires every time they tender for work and save client time by creating a catalogue of responsible pre-screened contractors to select from.

Membership of Constructionline also affiliates your business with the CIC (Construction Industry Council), verifies compliance with PAS 91, and can be combined with the Common Assessment Standard.

What Is Constructionline Gold Accredited Status?

Originally established by the UK Government to provide a reference point for pre-qualification data in the Construction industry, Constructionline has now expanded to a database of over 46,000 suppliers in many different business sectors.

The main objective of Constructionline is to reduce duplication for those involved in the tender process, reducing paperwork and making it easier for buyers to find responsible contractors.

They also validate the use of many products in a variety of different industries including pest control.

As founding members of the SSIP, Constructionline boast an impressive number of health and safety experts and are the go to choice for many businesses of all sizes looking to have their commitment to best practice officially certified.

Many clients will only hire contractors who hold Constructionline accreditations and doing so opens up a world of opportunities for business that would otherwise not be available.

The accreditation process for Constructionline is designed to incorporate SSIP accreditation, certification of compliance with PAS 91, and also includes the Common Assessment Standard.

This means that companies can save a huge amount of time and money by securing a number of different accreditations in a single assessment.

Alongside health and safety checks, acquiring Constructionline Gold status, the most popular level of accreditation available, also requires a company to pass validation checks concerning environmental and quality management, equal opportunities, and diversity.

Besides many of these accreditations being a pre-requisite for business in many industries, putting a company through the audit process allows them to refine their existing practices and make them as safe and efficient as possible

For a company such as Pest Solutions, who are constantly striving for excellence in everything we do, this was a major attraction of Constructionline.

Constructionline Accreditation Levels

There are four levels of Constructionline accreditation that are available to companies in the UK: Associate (Entry Level), Silver (level 2), Gold (level 3) and Platinum (level 4). Pest Solutions hold Constructionline Gold accreditation.

Each offers its own range of benefits that can help a company to tender more work, improve safety in the workplace, and significantly improve their reputation.
Silver, gold, and platinum accreditation require you to meet the PAS 91 standard that is a pre-requisite of many tenders.

Constructionline Gold is the most popular level for most as it sees you meet both PAS 91 and Common Assessment Standards that will qualify you for tenders in both the public and private sectors.

What Does Constructionline Assess?

Construction line analyses a wide range of different aspects of your business from health and safety compliance and other operational processes to financials and more quantitative measures of business success.

The questionnaire itself is specifically tailored to certain industries and will ask for information that is most relevant to your business in particular.

For example, contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers will all receive slightly different variations of the questionnaire to ensure it is as relevant as possible.

Constructionline Gold Accredited – The Process

When applying for Constructionline accreditation, companies are required to provide some documentation and information alongside the questionnaire that is the foundation of the assessment process.

Some of the information that is required include:

  • Set of accounts (audited if over 5 employees)
  • A VAT certificate (If Vat Registered)
  • Insurance certificates
  • Trade references
  • Health and safety policy & procedures

Benefits Of Being Constructionline Gold Accredited?

Constructionline accreditation is an indication that a company is fully committed to maintaining high standards in everything that they do.

Benefits of membership to this elite group of responsible accredited companies include:

Increases Searchability:
Accreditation will allow you to appear on a number of different online catalogues including the SSIP website and Constructionline themselves. This will make it more likely that potential clients will be able to find your company and you are likely to receive more business as a result.

Pre-qualifies You For Business:
Many major corporations have a strict policy about which contractors that they can use to carry out work on their sites. SSIP accreditation, Constructionline accreditation, and PAS 91 compliance are all common pre-requisites for many major contracts.

Reduced Spending:
It is estimated that using an SSIP accredited scheme will reduce what a company spends on health and safety schemes by as much as 40%.

Stand Out From The Crowd:
Constructionline accreditation not only means you are able to compete for contracts with other companies in your industry, but also helps you to stand out from the crowd. For example, in order to carry out work in the construction industry, PAS 91 compliance (Verified by Constructionline) is a must have.

Constructionline goes one step further however, with enhanced validation checks including environmental management, quality management, equal opportunities and diversity, Modern Slavery Act adherence, and anti-bribery and anti-corruption policies.

Whilst your competitors are likely to have the bare minimum when it comes to health and safety regulations, going one step further can tip the scales in your favour when competing for tight contracts.

Constructionline Gold Accredited – Multiple Assessment Standards

Constructionline Acclaim Accreditation is the go to choice for many companies seeking their SSIP health and safety accreditation.

One of the biggest benefits of using an SSIP member for health and safety certification is that one of the forum’s key aims is to reduce paperwork by standardising assessments across the industry.

This means that no longer do companies need to go through the expensive and time consuming process of having many different health and safety assessments carried out that all look at broadly similar aspects of safety.

Now, by using the same core criteria agreed by the SSIP and legislation produced by the HSE, a single audit from Constructionline will see a company receive several different accreditations that are recognised nationwide.

Some of the standards that are recognised via the Constructionline scheme include:

PAS 91:
When you apply for accreditation with Constructionline, the PAS 91 questionnaire is incorporated into the audit process. PAS 91 is a standardised prequalification questionnaire that is designed to reduce the need for contractors to complete multiple different documents for each and every client.
The PAS 91 questionnaire is produced by the British Standards Institute (BSI) and is used to verify that a company meets the common minimum standard for construction procurement. Once the questionnaire has been completed and validated, your company will appear as PAS 91 verified when searched for by customers, and won’t need to complete the questionnaire again until applying for reaccreditation.

Common Assessment Standard:
Constructionline are partnered with Build UK and delivers the Common Assessment Standard on their behalf. This standardised set of questions has been designed to once more save supplier’s time and money, a key ethos of Constructionline. The Common Assessment standard can be combined with Constructionline membership at no additional cost.

SSIP Validation:
Perhaps the most important validation that is received as part of Constructionline membership is SSIP certification. The core criteria set out by the Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) forum is the industry standard when it comes to health and safety regulations.

Many clients will only work with contractors who hold SSIP accreditation meaning that failing to hold it is putting your company at a severe disadvantage when it comes to competing for work, not to mention potentially putting both staff and customers at risk.

Health and safety experts from Acclaim are fully approved to issue SSIP ‘Deemed to satisfy’ certificates and this process can be incorporated into the Constructionline accreditation process.

The fact that at Pest Solutions we are able to demonstrate excellence in a wide variety of aspects of our operations through the Constructionline Acclaim accreditation process and demonstrate to our customers that we operate fully in accordance with all the relevant health and safety legislation and guidance in a single audit, made applying for this accreditation a no brainer.

We were delighted to pass our reaccreditation audit with flying colours and no corrective actions required.
